How to Setup Email on your IPhone

Advances in smart phone technology and strides in email and social media outlets have given us a greater voice and enhanced capability to share and retrieve our important and professional information on a mobile devise. Today the functions of the mobile handset have expanded beyond that of a simple phone. Our phones can now also function as operating systems: we are able to check our email, surf the Web, use apps and receive phone calls and texts all in one place.

Setting up your email requires a little effort and you only need to follow those step by step instructions on setting up your iPhone as an email hub.

Please make sure you have created your email account using Control Panel. Please replace example@yourdomain.com with your email account and your domain.com with your original domain.

If this is the first email account being set up on your iPhone, navigate to the Settings menu on your home screen.

Usually, the port used for the Outgoing Mail Server/SMTP Service is 25. However, there might be a situation where your ISP might be blocking the use of port 25 for SMTP service. Many ISPs block port 25 in order to minimize the amount of spam sent using their network. If you are facing issues sending mails using the default port 25, you can confirm with your ISP whether port 25 is indeed blocked by them.

To circumvent this, Sibername allows you to use the alternate port 26 for sending mails if port 25 is blocked.
