EU Domain Name Renewals

Majority of the EU domain names are going to expire after the first week of April 2007.

EU domain names follow a different procedure for domain name renewals after expiry.

If you fail or decide not to to renew your domain name before the expiry, the domain name is deleted from the Eurid Database on the day of expiry.

The domain name can be redeemed in 40 days by the original Registrant through the original Registrar.

There is an additional cost to redeem the domain name from Eurid after the expiry.

While a renewal before the expiry costs only $14.95 CAD, the cost to renew after expiry by redeeming it costs $75.00 CAD. And this status is limited to the 40 days and after 40 days the domain name is released to the public.

We strongly recommend you to renew your domain name days before the expiry date in order to prevent the risk of paying more or taking the risk of losing it.
