Today some EU domains are revoked by EurID without any notification.

The reason of the revoke has been identified as the company used as the registrant has been dissolved.

There was no warning and it was an unexpected situation for us too.

We have contacted EurId and waiting for their answer.

We will update the ticket as we get updates.

Eurid offices are closed.

We have sent the following email. Expecting an answer tomorrow morning. We will call them as well.

Dear Eurid:

This is your Registrar Sibername.com

We have some domains revoked by

the explanation:

Dear Domain name holder,

> Since your company Sibername.com LTD was dissolved at 18/09/2007 and
> therefore does not fulfill general eligibility criteria all the domain
> names concerned have been revoked according to the provisions of the
> regulation 874/2004.

- Sibername.com LTD was registered in UK and used to register the
land-rush domain names and was dissolved because it has completed its purpose.

The domain names were being planned to be traded. Some has had trade attempts that failed and were going under a second attempt.

We need to know:

- Why we have not received any notification? These domains were under
process of being traded to the registrants of records.

- Is it possible to get these domains back to the registrants?

- If not what will happen to these domain names? When will they be
available for public registration?

- Could we be given any chance to correct this situation?

This part is for your management:

A domain name is easy to be very unpopular. The direction you are
taking the EU domain name is downwards. We are the registrar for ICANN
and CIRA. We do always have notification as registrar for issues that
will affect our clients. How can you believe someone will trust the EU
registry for a stable web business?

Please help us by

- activating these domains back for few days
- give us a chance to start the trade procedure for our registrants.

We are waiting for a prompt reply;

Hi;

As of now, we haven't received an answer yet.

Some information:

- These domain names were not registered to Sibername LTD as organization.

They were registered as individuals. They were supposed to be asked for a name change rather than cancellation.

Has anyone received a notification for possibility of revoke? Please email us at support@sibername.com with a copy.

Our action Plan:

We will try to get these domains as soon as they are released.

To make our queue stronger we will ask the clients affected to list the domains they want back.

We will not charge for this service or registration even it is not only our fault.

Please send a list of domains affected and you want back by email to support@sibername.com

Good Luck

We have information about the day of release.

PLEASE:

Do not mention any of the domain names affected at any medium. he list will not be available for other registrars and we will have a better chance of getting them back.

We have no other choice than waiting Eurid answer and the day of release at the moment.

Good luck all;

As you might have noticed, i am replying all and each email one by one and pointing out the fact below;

As Sibername.com we have decided not to promote EU domain names any longer until this issue is resolved.

Eurid has proven it self a non reliable business partner. We encourage you not to register any EU domain as a protest.

We wont be suggesting this any of our customers.

----

This is a breach to your agreement http://www.eurid.eu/images/Documents/EC_874_2004/ec%20regulation%20874_en.pdf

Article 20

This procedure shall include a notice to the domain name holder and shall afford him an opportunity to take appropriate measures.

You have revoked the domain names without any notice.

In other words you have breached the agreement.

You have to reactivate this domain name if you do not face legal
responsibilities.

They have answered our email as folows:

Thank you for your email.

In fact this revocation is not a breach of the agreement. If the company
does not exist since months there is no one to inform.

Kind Regards
The EURid Team

This is not right because the registrant type was not Corporation or Business and it was registered as individual. So if a company with the same name is dissolved how can they revoke the domain name?

They have also revoked domains belonging to us as individuals without asking.

Thank you for your email.

Regarding your questions:

Domain names which were registered by mistake under the name
Sibername.com ltd and you had clients which payed for them and whose
name should be there instead can be reinstated under the name of those
clients and transferred back to your account. Several of your clients
contacted us already and sent us proofs of payments for those names to
be registered under their name. We will start helping them shortly.

It is a pity that you have not contacted us in advance because now we
have procedure of monitored update available (we announce it in
regiostrar newsletter) which allows to perform corrections free of
charge when they are sufficiently documented. Document is available on
www.registry.eu (http://www.registry.eu/) in the library.

You will receive an email when a given domain name will be reinstated
back to your system.

Please email Eurid with your proofs;
