IMPORTANT : Please note here my email account is email@example.com and incoming and outgoing mail server is rachel.whc.ca with SSL used and ports mentioned. If you have any confusion please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
From the Home screen go to Settings and tap Passwords & Accounts. Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
Go to “Passwords & Accounts” (earlier iOS versions choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”)
Tap on the email address account you want to update or not working. I will tap on email@example.com here for example.
Tap the ‘Account’ field again to access email account login and server details
3. Tap Advanced to review the Incoming Mail Server settings
Scroll down to the Incoming Settings section and verify that you are using the settings below.
Use SSL: On
Server Port: For IMAP Port: 993 and for POP3 Port: 995
Then return to the Account screen. There, tap our Outgoing Mail Server rachel.whc.ca next to SMTP to see the SMTP servers.
Tap the primary SMTP server
Verify that you are using the Outgoing Mail Server settings below and tap Done.
Host Name: rachel.whc.ca
Use SSL: On
Server Port: 465
