Category Setup

To begin adding products to your shopping cart, you must first assign categories to your shopping cart system in order to classify your products for your site visitors. You may enter up to 20 different categories for your products.

Type the name of your category in New Category Name and click Add Category. You will see the category appear in the Current Categories box. Your categories will automatically order themselves alphabetically when you enter them.

Edit/Add Sub Categories 
In addition to having main categories, you can add two levels of sub-categories. You can add and edit them by clicking Edit/Add Sub Categories, which is next to each category. Once you have entered the page, add a new sub-category by clicking Create New Sub Category, which is directly above the Unassigned Sub Categories box. Type the name of your sub-category under New Sub Category and click Add Sub Category. The sub-category will then appear in Unassigned Sub Categories.   

Setting Primary Sub and Secondary Sub Categories
After you have created your categories, you can set them as Primary Sub and Secondary Sub categories. To do so, select the category from the Unassigned Sub Categories box, and click Set as Primary Sub or Set as Secondary Sub. This will bring them to the right-hand box, which displays what categories will show up in your shopping cart. When you are finished, click the green Save button to save the page.

Now when create a new product, you have the option to choose a secondary category for it from the Secondary Category drop-down menu in the Product Info Tab. Please see Adding New Products for more information.
